Study Collaborations:
TRAP-AD
Dr. Paolo Cassano and the TRAP-AD study team are investigating an experimental treatment device for amnestic Mild Cognitive Impairment (aMCI) in a randomized clinical trial of 8 weeks of transcranial photobiomodulation (tPBM) or sham (placebo) treatment. The t-PBM treatment stimulates certain parts of the brain that are thought to be affected in memory impairment and may improve cognition in adults with aMCI. This study will be the first to evaluate the dose-dependent effects of t-PBM in amnestic Mild Cognitive Impairment (aMCI) in a phase I, parallel design, sham-controlled, randomized clinical trial lasting 8 weeks.
